Hey beauties, I get this question asked a lot! and I lo
ve answering it because taking care of my skin is something I love doing. Taking care of your skin is the number one rule to having that perfect skin you dream of after applying foundation. Having a nice clear skin helps make you makeup look amazing. Lets be honest! Its not your foundation, concealer, or your setting spray that makes it set better its your skin.

My Skin Care Products |
I haven't always had the skin I have now, even now I still want to keep improving and making my skin look and feel better. I never knew just how important skin care was until I started playing around with makeup. I always thought makeup made all your imperfections go away that it was supposed to magically make them disappear. So I would put around 2-3 layers of foundation and it would seem like I could never get that 'perfect skin' and now I know why. One of the things I have learn about skin care is using a hydrating face mask come in handy for when you have a very important event, Your skin will stay hydrated for hours. You can even use when you are a little lazy to do your skin routine. Have fun finding whats best for you.

Here is a Before picture of my skin as well as my makeup
Another thing you must take into consideration, is what type of skin do you have?
- Normal Skin
- Oily Skin
- Combination Skin
- Sensitive Skin
- Dry Skin
- Ageing Skin
- Irritated Dry Skin
Once you have determine what type of skin you , you can start looking for ways to better your skin.. Ever since I figured out what my skin type was I have tried avoiding everything that drys my skin out. Yes! I have dry skin and it sucks but I have learn to overcome it. If you have dry skin like me these are some tips to help you figure out what you need to do.
- What causes your dryness?
- Do you need to stop using it?
- Is it alcohol free?
- Are you applying your skin care products the wrong way?
- Are you drinking enough water? (Water is a very important part of hydration)
- Are you showering with really hot water?
- Are you over-exfoliating?
- Do you wear makeup? If so are you using matte products?
- Are you using hydrating facial masks?
After almost 2 years I have found out the right way to take care of my skin. It was NOT easy getting the right products or right order of applications right away. I am definitely still learning more and more.
Before
My skin would not only look dry but feel dry. After a shower my skin would dry out terribly and start scaling, it was not must uncomfortable feeling. I also you to have minor discoloration. I use to hate it, I got made fun off because of this. My 2 biggest mistake were never using a moisturizer and not having a skin routine. I use to think that splashing water on my face would hydrate it. Also I never knew what a skin toner was therefore I always had different color skin tones.
After
I now feel so confident and super fab! My skin looks dewy and feels soft every time. I have less discoloration. And can walk out the door anytime without the need of applying 2-3 layers of makeup (Yes that's right! I use to think foundation made my skin look perfect. NOT!) I get compliments that my skin looks soft and glow-y :) Don't get mt wrong I use to love my skin but now I love it even more I can get it the proper treatment and care.
